How much does it cost to charter a superyacht for a week?

Short answer

Named, dated listings provide more useful evidence than an unsupported size-band average. The following examples demonstrate available asking-price points, not the statistical distribution of the market.

All pages were reviewed October 16, 2026. Future-season listings are offers, not confirmed bookings. Historical summer examples are explicitly separated from forward winter pricing. Guest and cabin counts are supplier-stated specifications, not independent verification of passenger permissions.

What are the advertised Bahamas and Caribbean price points?

YachtLengthAdvertised guests / cabinsWeekly base rateProgramme and evidence
NO SHORTCUTS34.14m8 / 4US$65,000–75,000IYC listing for winter 2026/27, Bahamas and Caribbean; plus expenses. (iyc.com)
NAMASTE36.88m10 / 5US$105,000–135,000Northrop & Johnson, winter 2026/27; Bahamas and Caribbean cruising regions; plus expenses. (northropandjohnson.com)
COFINA40.23m12 / 6US$145,000Northrop & Johnson, winter 2026/27 published rate; confirm the requested operating area and dates; plus expenses. (northropandjohnson.com)
ALPHA WAVES40.54m10 / 5US$190,000–210,000Northrop & Johnson, winter 2026/27 in the Bahamas; plus expenses. (northropandjohnson.com)
CHASSEUR50m12 / 6US$260,000–295,000Fraser’s published winter Bahamas/Caribbean rates; page states October–March but does not identify the year. Obtain a dated quotation. (fraseryachts.com)

Buyer implication: a lower headline price can fail the guest brief immediately. NO SHORTCUTS advertises accommodation for eight, whereas NAMASTE advertises ten. A ten-person organiser should not treat those as equivalent options simply because both fit a broad budget search. (iyc.com)

No currency conversion has been applied. For approval, obtain the quotation’s contractual currency and a dated conversion from the household’s payment provider rather than treating a website’s converted display as the amount payable.

Does a 50-metre yacht necessarily provide better accommodation than a 40-metre yacht?

Length alone is not a reliable procurement rule. COFINA advertises six cabins at 40.23m, ALPHA WAVES five at 40.54m, and CHASSEUR six at 50m. Those examples do not establish equivalence in cabin quality, accessibility or service; they show why a “40 metre vs 50 metre yacht charter for 10 guests” comparison needs actual layouts. (northropandjohnson.com)

Request a cabin-allocation plan before paying for additional length. Keep bed configuration, access requirements and evidence completeness separate from the yacht’s advertised guest total.
