Stage 6: What must happen before the deposit is transferred?
Separate approval of the vacation from authorization of the payment. Use a short payment-release checklist even when the broker is familiar.

Checklist: approve and verify
- Principal approves the selected yacht, budget, compromises and remaining exposure.
- Signatures and payment obligations match the agreed transaction sequence.
- Required identity and compliance checks are complete.
- Invoice, contracting entity and proposed recipient reconcile; any difference is explained and verified.
- Bank instructions are checked through a previously established or independently sourced contact channel.
- A second authorized person reviews the payment where the household’s controls allow it.
- Confirmation of receipt is obtained and the next deadline is diarized.
The FBI advises verifying payment requests and changes to account details by an independent call or in person, and warns against urgency-driven instructions. Do not verify suspicious banking details by replying to the same email or calling a number supplied only in that message. (fbi.gov)
If details change: pause the internal release process, reverify, and coordinate any deadline implications with the broker and counsel. If a fraudulent transfer is suspected, contact the financial institution immediately and report it to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center. (fbi.gov)
Stage output: the approved decision brief, final documents and a recorded payment verification.
